After years of playing this great game with some of the most wonderful people I have the honor to call friends, I find that my fondest memories are the games that I almost won and of the conversations and interactions on the periphery of the game board.  I don’t know if I enjoy seeing my friends win or if I enjoy watching myself pry defeat from the jaws of victory time and time again.  Either way, I would like to share some of the stories that have brought me the most joy over the hundreds of games, conventions, beers at the bar, etc.
